Filename: j0410505.wmf Keywords: businesses, credit, credit cards ... File Size: 33 KBThis morning was a nightmare.   I took my daughter to preschool, my son to a childcare center and I was just about to enjoy a cup of coffee at my favorite coffee shop while blogging the day away.  As I went through the drive thru to pay for my favorite Monday morning latte I realized that my purse was gone.

Before scouring my home, I called my bank...just in case.  The purse thief had already tried to empty my personal "Paychex " debit card and health savings account card.

My heart started to race as I frantically tried to brainstorm the other cards the thief had gotten his/her hands on.

It was 8:30 in the morning and he'd tried paying for gas with my card less than a half-hour earlier.

The race was on. I was literally sweating as I searched for account numbers, customer service numbers and company numbers.  I called 5 major credit card companies, two debit card companies and the police within two hours.   As I was dialing each number, I wondered where my thief was shopping at.  "Should I cancel Old Navy, or Target first?"  "Which one is closer".  It was sickening.

As of 9am - we were already down nearly $80.00.  We paid for our thief's gas and some online hunting supplies.  That's it - thus far. (My fingers are crossed).

I am not going to make the same mistake twice.  I found this simple, printable checklist to track credit cards, account numbers and customer service numbers.  This is a must-have tool if your purse or wallet is stolen.

The checklist also offers the telephone numbers of the major credit bureaus so that you can freeze your account to prevent fraud.  (That's what I am doing as soon as I finish this post).

Here's another handy tip... don't leave your purse in your car with your door unlocked.  Sheesh.

Yippie.   It's free printable day!  I am a list freak and I created this form to help keep track of all of the "stuff" I have "stuffed" in my pantry.

I used to have enough rice in my pantry to feed a small village.  Every time I went to the store I just assumed I needed it.

This is a wonderful OAMC and meal planning tool because you can choose your menu based upon the foods you have an abundance of so nothing goes to waste.

Enjoy!  Keep stopping by...more freebies to come!

(You are welcome to share this printable form on your website or blog as long as you offer proper credit).

Random Acts of Kindness…for Kids (Free Printable)

We have a new family that just moved into our neighborhood. My four year old daughter loves to climb into the top of her play castle and yell over the fence. "Hey friends.....FRIENDS....WHERE ARE YOU?....I miss you friends!.... It's ME...JENNA - 'amemba' me?"

I am struggling a bit with how to handle it. I want my daughter to be nice...but not annoying. =)

"Honey, let's just call the neighbors and see if we can bring them some cookies, okay?".

".....and I'll color them a picture too", she replied excitedly.

Within moments, she was screaming through the fence again..."FRIENDS....I colored a picture for you"..."come and get it, kay?"

It warms my heart to see her show so much kindness...but we need to work on the screaming part.

I was reminded of a form I created at the beginning of the new year. My goal was to do one nice thing for someone every day for 365 days. While initially I planned to deliver daily batches of cookies to the homeless shelters and visit nursing homes with my kids...I am starting to realize that even the little things (like rubbing my husband's feet or sharing ice-pops over the fence with new neighbors are worthwhile too.

I am challenging my four year old to talk with me everyday about some of the nice things she is doing. Today, we listed...."fed Gus"....and "didn't kick my brother".....it's a start right?

I hope you'll consider using this "Niceness Log" as a teaching tool for your kiddos too and share some of their "good-deeds" with us in the comments section.

Click here for another free printable page from Simplesahm.com. I spend one evening each week filling in as many meal ideas as possible. You may want to slip the page into a page protector and write on it with a wipe-off marker (or you can laminate it). That way, you can adjust your meal plan if something unexpected happens....(like running out of milk!) Visit 30daycafe.com for more meal planning resources.

Enjoy!

I am a bit of a list-junky. I have grocery lists, meal planning lists, blog-topic lists, "things I must have" lists...and more.

I am in the process of making them "pretty" and posting them onto my site. Here's a babysitter information form that I post on my fridge every time I have a sitter.

(You'll want to make separate copies for each kiddo).

Enjoy...and STAY TUNED, more checklists, charts & fun forms to come!

You need to have Adobe Reader to print this form.

Simple Printable Greeting Cards from Hallmark

I am a horrible greeting card sender. I always mean well. In fact, I love to make handmade cards or let the kids personalize them.

The problem is...by the time I remember the occasion (usually a week late), create the card (usually another week) stand in line at the post office (another week).....my thoughtful greeting is arrives well over a month late.

Sheesh.

I did a search today for ways that I can send cards online. I am not crazy about using e-cards as birthday greetings (unless I am sending one to a college buddy I haven't seen in years). But I really wanted the convenience of an e-card.

I wasn't surprised that Hallmark was at the top of my search. Did you know you can send adorable photo cards right from their site? They stamp them, address them and mail them for you.

I just sent one to my mom for her birthday. It will even be on time for once! Woo hoo! =)

Finally, I am *thoughtful* again!

PS - Grandparents day is on September 9th. They have adorable photo cards you can send for grandmas and grandpas too!
